The research tier

Credits, for thinking before you commit.

Most of Wren is free. Credits pay for the parts that cost real money to produce: model time, and the disbursements we pay other people on your behalf. There is no subscription, nothing expires, and new accounts start with 25.

Free

What costs nothing at all

Three questions with no account, fingerprinted so the allowance means something without asking you to sign up. 25 credits when you do sign up. And, permanently free with no metering at all: the map and every one of its 88live layers, the constraint check, the approval-likelihood prediction, the submission checklist built from your own council’s validation list, and all 378 council profiles.

Chartered professionals working on Wren cases are exempt from credits entirely, and see no credit interface at all. A metering line, unlimited or not, tells someone they are inside a metering system, and a professional reviewing a case is not.

Questions

Questions

Do credits expire?

No. They sit on your account until you use them. There is no monthly reset and nothing lapses.

What is the difference between a research draft and a real document?

A research draft is roughly 1,200 words over four to six pages, every page marked "Draft, not for submission", written for you to read and think with. A case document is the production deliverable: fifteen to twenty pages or more, decimal numbered, in the house style, reviewed and signed by a chartered planner, and filed with your council. They come out of the same engine under the same citation rules, but only one of them carries somebody's membership number.

Do I need credits to use the map?

No. The map, every data layer, the constraint check, the council library and the submission checklist are all free and need no account. Credits pay for the things that cost real money to produce, which is the AI work and the Land Registry disbursements.

What happens if a draft fails?

You are not charged. Credits are deducted only after a draft has succeeded, so a document rejected by the citation gate costs you nothing. The same is true of a pre-application report.

What is auto top-up?

An optional setting. When your balance drops below a threshold you choose, a saved card is charged for a pack you choose. Because that happens without you seeing a checkout page, a receipt is emailed every time, with the PDF attached, as the notice that money has moved.

Ask something before you spend anything.

Three questions, no account, no card. Ask Wren answers from the ingested corpus and shows you the passages it read.

Prices exclude nothing: Wren is not VAT registered, so there is no VAT to add. See application pricing for the fixed fees on a full case.
