We publish our grant rate. Whichever way it goes.
Every incumbent quotes a success rate and none of them says how it was computed. This page gives the number, the sample it came from, the window it covers, and the national figure to judge it against.

Not yetWe do not publish a rate until the sample reaches 20 decided cases. Below that a single decision moves the figure by whole percentage points, which would be a number pretending to be evidence.

As at 30 September 2026. Both figures are the share of decided applications that were approved. Withdrawn applications are excluded from both, because a withdrawal is not a refusal and counting it as one would flatter us.

A tier is published only once it has 20 decided cases behind it. The rest are listed with their count so you can see what is coming rather than wonder what was left out.

Approval rate is approved divided by decided. Win rate additionally counts allowed appeals and split decisions where Wren's side prevailed. Tier breakdowns are published only above a 20-case sample, to keep small-sample noise out of a headline figure. All figures are independently auditable from the public planning registers; see /data for the ingest schedule.
It is computed from our own case records at request time rather than typed into the page, so it cannot drift from what actually happened. If it falls, this page falls with it.
